Hey! We’ve just upgraded our Social Chat application and created a new tab through which you can chat freely with all your online facebook friends!
Once they click the tab, users can view a list of their online facebook friends and invite them to chat. The web application also has a special search through which users can search and find the friends they are interested in chatting with.
Other features the facebook IM upgrade is introducing include:
- An ‘invite all’ button that will post an invitation on the user’s facebook directly from the application.
- The first time your user posts from this chat feature a link to the site page will be included. This will ensure that facebook users will see where the message was sent from and visit your site.
Status control. Users can choose between a green online status and an offline status.
- You can minimize a chat window and it will be saved as a small tab on your toolbar. It will remain static and available as your user browses through the different pages of your site, meaning they can get back to chatting whenever they want.
This is part of a series of apps we are introducing to help you integrate facebook into your site and connect your site with the social network.
What are the advantages?
Plenty! This connects one of the most popular facebook features with your site, meaning users will stay on your site longer and share more of your content with their friends. This makes your website a social hub and will lead to reduced bounce rates and an increase in traffic.
So, check this new IM and let us know what you think about it.
We have just unveiled a brand new dashboard we’ve been working on for a while.
This new dashboard makes it really easy for you to see exactly what is going on with your toolbar, who’s using it and how they’re using it.
The new dashboard is divided into four different sections. Here is a quick breakdown of the information you can now access:
The overview includes news and updates from us. We’ll let you know when new apps are coming out, new features and general news from Wibiya.
In addition you can you can see a general overview of user engagement with your toolbar in addition to a breakdown of the different applications. A pie chart shows you which web apps are gaining popularity and you can also find out how many users have connected to social networks through your web toolbar, on a monthly basis and which networks they are using. The final graph displays a summary of the benefits you’ve enjoyed by using the Wibiya toolbar.
The analytics page gives you a drill down of the stats for each of the applications on your toolbar. It provides charts with information on user engagement with the application over the past day, week, month or since the application was installed.
The social analytics aggregates all of your toolbar’s social data. Find out how many people are connecting through the different social networks and who these people are.
On the right you have a drop down list of all the applications installed on your web toolbar that have their own dashboard. This is where you can add and edit new notifications; see your real-time users and more!
Click through the application tab to choose the application dashboard you want to view or edit.

Take a look at the new dashboard. You can get analytics for each of the web applications installed on your site. Let’s look at the new social chat analytics. It provides some interesting information on the social activity generated by the social chat application on your website.
The detailed click information tells you exactly how many users clicked on the public chat room through the social chat application on your toolbar. In addition, it tells you how many conversations took place, how many users connected and how many private chats took place.
This is not a replacement for the social analytics you can access in the next tab, but instead, it shows you how the social chat application has been impacting your site’s social activity.
Seeing how much activity each web app is getting helps increase your understanding of the role which the toolbar is playing to increase user engagement on your site.
Great news! From now on, you can choose to connect the ‘like’ button to your fan page.
We’ve just given the facebook like application a major upgrade and now, visitors to your website can click the like button and become your facebook fans.
Until now, the facebook like button application was attached solely to the content page. This means that whenever a visitor clicked the ‘like’ button they were ‘liking’ the content on that page. You can still keep the regular settings and connect your ‘like’ button to your website’s content, the difference is that now you can choose how you want promote your site and what type of a connection you want to make with facebook.
Many of you have been writing us and asking for this feature, so we are extra excited to make this available to you now.
Connecting the ‘like’ button to your fan page will give your fan page a major boost, linking the traffic on your website with the traffic on your facebook fan page.
To choose the option you prefer go to your facebook ‘like’ button application’s settings.
